Well, didn't the Jubilee weekend fly past? After months of planning to ensure that the Queen's 60 year reign was celebrated in true Brit fashion it's all over!I do hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating the occasion or at least had a well deserved rest from work!
We watched most of the celebrations on t.v, met up with friends and had good food and cocktails!
Ahead of the celebrations we happened to drop into the Design Museum as we have been wanting to see the 2012 design award winners for a while now. Dubbed the 'Oscars of the design world' the exhibition is so worthwhile if your looking for something to do and appreciate great design and innovation.
The plus side for any girls who LOVE shoes is that the ticket allows you entrance to the Christian Louboutin exhibition, featuring hundreds of his iconic red soled creations in footwear, the way in which this show is designed happens to be like a shrine to stilettos!
...any men who may be thinking this would be a bigger nightmare than shoe shopping is sure to be swayed by the impressive, realistic hologram of Burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese dancing in a pair of sparkly Louboutins! The crowd for this felt as big as for the Jubilee!
The exhibitions run until 4th July for the Design Awards and until the 9th of July for Mr Louboutin's showcase...so get down there!
